Would you like to contribute to the review of the IPBES Monitoring Assessment, but are unsure where to start? In a short video, Sander Turnhout explains how an IPBES assessment is developed, why the Summary for Policymakers matters and what makes a useful review comment.

You do not need to review the entire assessment. Choose a section that matches your expertise and identify specific points that are unclear, missing or need stronger evidence. The video also shows how to use the review form and submit your comments.

Comments must be submitted in English using the supplied Excel form. Please send them to pbesnl@biodiversiteit.org by 2 November 2026. The draft documents are confidential and must not be shared or quoted publicly.
